Gunmen attack and injure former Ugandan army chief General Katumba Wamala, killing the general’s daughter and driver.
Witnesses said the gunmen took several motorcycles shot the general curfew.
The apparent assassination attempt on the former army chief and former police chief, now a government minister, has raised concerns in Uganda.
In recent years, Uganda has been rocked by such incidents, with perpetrators using motorcycles armed.
In June 2018, Ibrahim Abiriga, a staunch supporter of President Yoweri Museveni, was shot dead near his home and later died of his injuries.
Former police spokesman Andrew Felix Kaweesi, was assassinated in April 2017.
A lawyer, and several Muslim clerics, were similarly killed.
None of these assassinations have been arrested, and most investigations have been carried out by a court.
